The company’s products convert and control raw electrical power from any central, distributed, renewable, or backup power source into high-quality power required by electronic equipment or the electricity grid. SPS is headquartered in Baltimore, MD, with facilities in India.
The Smart Power System products are designed to meet stringent applications conditions. The Inverters are MET Lab certified to CL, UL and CSA standards.

Smart Power Systems has developed a proprietary technology to design compact & lightweight power conversion equipment using state of the art soft switching & multilevel inverter technologies. Smart Power uses 3D-electromechanical design capabilities along with modern CAE equipment. Our capabilities in power electronics, software development, structured product development process, and 3D electromechanical design enables us to design variety of products in a short period of time.
FACILITIES
All of Smart Power Systems products are assembled very methodically and diligently as well as thoroughly tested. The testing area that is used consists of state of the art equipment, including analog and digital oscilloscopes, a multi speed generator, as well as several different load banks to simulate loads for testing purposes, this is just to name a few. All of this equipment is to ensure that all of the rigid tests that all of the power systems go through is highly accurate and detailed in order to bring the customer the best product as well as the best data for reference purposes.
